Ingredients

  • 4 large eggs
  • 2c sugar
  • 2c all purpose flour
  • 1/2t salt
  • 2t baking powder
  • 1t vanilla
  • 1 stick butter (1/2c)
  • 1c milk
  • 1 stick butter (1/2c)
  • ¾ c sugar
  • 3t ground cinnamon

Method

  • Preheat oven to 350F.

  • Grease 9” x 12” pan.

  • In large bowl, beat eggs until blended.

  • Add 2c sugar and beat until combined.

  • Mix dry ingredients and then stir into egg/sugar mixture.

  • Add vanilla.

  • In small saucepan, melt 1 stick butter in milk, taking care not to scald milk.

  • Add to egg mixture and stir to blend well.

  • Bake 25-35 minutes or until cake tests done in center.

  • While cake is baking, combine sugar and cinnamon.

  • When cake comes out of oven, take remaining stick of butter and rub all over the top of the cake until all the butter is melted.

  • Sprinkle cinnamon sugar mixture over top of cake.
