Ingredients

  • 12-14 medium-large shrimp, raw, tails removed
  • Flour for dredging
  • 6T butter
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • 1 small onion, slivered
  • 1c shredded carrots
  • 1c broccoli florets, gently steamed
  • 3oz anisette
  • 2c marinara sauce

Method

  • Dredge cleaned shrimp in seasoned flour.

  • Saute shrimp in butter 2-3 minutes.

  • Remove shrimp.

  • Saute onion 8-10 minutes.

  • Add garlic and saute 1-2 minutes without browning garlic.

  • Return shrimp to pan. Add carrots, broccoli and anisette.

  • If desired, flame anisette.

  • Add marinara and heat through.

  • Great served with carrot gnocchi.
